What it is

Crespo sits between Marbella and the airport (Rafael Núñez International, CTG), along the same stretch of coast. Primarily residential, with a long narrow beach, mid-rise apartment buildings, and one well-known institution — the Las Américas Hotel Complex on the far end toward the airport road.

The vibe

Low-key, more local than tourist, and less walkable than Marbella because individual blocks are bigger. The beach runs almost continuously — it's quieter, less groomed, and has fewer vendors than Bocagrande's. A good place for long morning walks.

Who stays here

Travelers with early or late flights who want proximity to CTG without airport-hotel sterility. Longer-stay expats who like the mid-rise residential feel. Families on longer vacations who don't want Bocagrande's density.

What's here

The beach, the Hotel Las Américas resort complex, and a scattering of neighborhood cafés and grocery stores. The airport is a 5-10 minute taxi from most of the neighborhood — noise from the flight path is real on the runway-facing side but moderate elsewhere.

The honest trade-offs

Distance from El Centro. 15-20 minutes by Uber or cab to the Walled City. Factor this into every night out.

Flight noise. Check maps before booking — properties directly under the approach or departure path are measurably louder.

Less restaurant density. You'll take a cab for most dinners, or eat at the hotel complex.
